We are looking for an experinced Environmental Health Professional to join our south London local authrrity client on a contract basis.
The contract will be for an initial six months and the pay rate is negotiable
Environmental Health duties relating to health and safety, water quality, infectious disease control, smoke free legislation, environmental protection, statutory nuisance and public health.
To deal with complaints, service requests, business advice, accidents and incidents investigations, project work, sampling and routine inspections.
To deal with accident investigation, complaints relating to health and safety, nuisance complaints in line with the relevant performance targets and statutory timeframes.
To carry out inspection duties under the full range of legislation for establishments under The Health and Safety (Enforcing Authority) Regulations 1998, and deal with any follow up work and represent the Authority at Court as required
To prepare and serve statutory notices in relation to commercial Environmental Health legislation as authorised.
To investigate cases of infectious diseases or suspected infectious disease as required under the guidance of the PEHO.
Participation on projects and identify how a successful outcomes can be achieved in line with the relevant project plan.
Licensing of special treatment premises, carry out annual renewal and issue new licenses are required.
To assess the suitability of premises and individuals in respect of license applications under the Licensing Act 2003.
To maintain full, accurate and appropriate records of inspections and investigations.
