Management experience

Experience of managing a Licensing team. An experienced and fully qualified Trading Standards Officer to temporarily manage Trading Standards and Licensing.

The Trading Standards Section undertakes the broad range of Trading Standards functions including animal health.

The Licensing Section is responsible for administration and enforcement of the laws relating to taxis, sales of alcohol, gambling, street trading and miscellaneous other activities.

The agency worker will represent the services at the Council’s Regulatory and Licensing Committees as well as in other settings Act as Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures in accordance with section 72 of the Weights and Measures Act 1985.

Ensure that the functions of the services under the Licensing Act 2003 are delivered including the making of representations and applications for the review of premises licences.

Direct and motivate the performance of colleagues in the services to ensure that work is completed within set frameworks, standards and timescales.
