Trading Standards Enforcement Officer

It will be the role of the contractor to act on intelligence received that there is alleged activity at retail premises concerning the sale of illegal tobacco and vapes.

They will be responsible for their own time management, updating their line manager regularly and organising the staff, equipment required to carry out this type of work including a police presence, as well as a tobacco/vape dog where deemed necessary.

They will be responsible for following Council policies/practices and procedures in relation to this work including following legislative requirements for evidence recording and continuity.

The role will involve writing to traders where illegal products are found, providing statements if required and the correct storage and disposal of any illegal products.
